Gal Force Games was founded in 2016 by Cara Hoch, a romance novelist who loves putting waaaay too much time into party games for her friends. While scouring the internet for the perfect bachelorette game, she was shocked that much of what was available included outdated gender roles. Most, too, were uniformly heteronormative. She believed that many women today want something better, so she decided to give it to them.
Cara partnered with artist Kelsey Oseid of Kelzuki, and they set out to create a bachelorette game that is unabashedly feminist, sex-positive, and representative of all brides (not to mention super fun.) Voila! Fifty-some feminist wedding puns later, Something Bold, Something True was born.
